It has been about two weeks since I put the Qubeley together and have become sort of bored around my house, besides this past weekend when I took class` to get my G2 license (in Ontario that’s what you need after your learners).
So I decided to take my Tieren Ground type off my shelf I had it on, take it apart, file down any nubs that I had missed when putting it together the first time, scrub down the pieces and let them soak in a bowl of dish soap over night. I then strained the clean pieces. And began painting each piece with a coat of Tamya XF-57 a light brown. I then painted another coat onto each piece.
When the coats had set I sketched out my camouflage pattern and tried to keep it in sink with the rest of the pieces.
For the joint pieces I used Tamya XF-54.
When painting the camo I used Tamya X-9.
There are still a minimal amount of “touch-up” spots I need to fix.
I got quite extensive into the detail of the cracks I painted in this kits on some pieces. and I am also pondering on putting a coat of clear finish over top of each piece as well, for protection.
