5. 1/100 XXXG-01W Wing Gundam (Photo Tutorial)

LAST UPDATE: July 21st
COMPLETE

New month. First kit. Happy times.

I picked up a Wing Gundam kit 1/100 scale, price tag was a little steep for my liking, but you guys know i love W series Gundams, so i had to buy it.

Progress so far is as such:
*painted minimal pieces(basically sprayed a coat of grey primer over the grey pieces on the sprew, and hand painted the places that are supposed to have stickers on them), and i have completed panel lines on one leg and both arms.

P.S. still waiting on that darn Strike+I.W.S.P.

Poped in Endless Waltz for motivation, and brought the fun.

Waiting for leg joints and "grey piece's" on sprew to dry.

Like so..

Thats all for now. Will edit this post when more gets done.

UPDATE: July 9th.
Chest assembly completed. I've also completed both wings. As well as the head.

And the wings.Fully panel lined.

Produced the head

Progress..

More to come..

UPDATE: July 10th.
Progress: Panel lines on most parts. Beginning the lower assembily.

Lower End.

UPDATE: July 13th
So I have added a few little mods to the build.

Now after painting i decided to do a daring little mod.
if anyone has watched the Gundam WING series (im talking right fresh from the start of the series with this kit im working on, as the first main Gundam) you will remember where Wing Gundams beam saber is. (and its pretty epic)

I decided with an old school Gundam like that i had to replicate that detail. check this.
my second mod.

The other mod i decided on was to drill a small hole in the underside of the lower torso, as so the WING can be placed on a stand (the only stand i have is a 1/144 scale base that came with the stargazer)(the 1/144 bases have the peg sticking out the top, so that’s why I did this mod)

Completeion: 85%

UPDATE: July 14th
Painted the wings, and inner thrusters’ today

And the painted thrusters'.

Very close to calling this kit complete, and finishing up the photo tutorial.
Progress:98%

UPDATE: July 21st
The kit is complete, i have taken my last wip pic's for the photo tutorial. check em out.

Hiya there... known you from Zero G Forum...I'm known as Symbiotes_021 there.

I had this same kit but I bought it from another Zero G Member... already snapfitted, a little lining here and there....So, no chance to built it myself...

What I'm dissapointed in of this kit are.... Well the hands look small and I kinda love the Wing Zero (The 2nd Wing Unit for Heero) more than this one.

So, in the end... I gave my lil' brother the Wing Gundam as a present. Seeing that he got a Heavyarm Custom 1/100 unit.

P/S: Can I add your blog address on my blog page?

Thats a pretty sweet story. Im sure your brother loved it since he had heavy arms already.

Im actually thinking about trying to hunt down the other four W seris origional MS Kits.

Yeah dude, you can add my blog. No problem.

Keep comin back.

Hey man, it has been a long time. Looks like you are getting really good at the model kit building especiaaly the painting part (Saw the camo Tieren).

I think you should really consider getting MGs. The articulation is much much better, meaning better action poses.

Also, I think that Endless Waltz DVD does not include Wing Gundam in it. It is the Wing Gundam Zero Custom. You should get that as well!

Hey wes. whats good bro? it has been a while eh?

Thanks for the nice comment man. still no where as good as i could be with painting though. lots of room for improvement.

Yeah Wing gundam isnt in endless waltz (but waltz is the only thing from the wing seris i own. I think i agree with your idea of picking up a Wing Zero though. i realy love that MS.

I just picked up two more HG kits though and also my first SD aswell. not painting one of them, but the SD is complete and fully painted(except for white because i ran out of white paint and have no money to buy more haha shame)

Anyways dude. thanks for the comment. glad your watchin :). peace.
